Obama’s Cabinet

President Barrack Obama’s first year in office is over already and what has got accomplished? In many Americans’ eyes, nothing has. If anything it has gotten worse since President Obama became president.

I think that President Obama has a good idea of what he wants to do in his mind but is having a hard time connecting it to real life. Obama thinks that things are getting better when it seems that all they are doing is getting worse.

I was on his side in the beginning when everyone else was against him, but now my thoughts are starting to change. He is sending more troops into Iraq and Afghanistan when there is no point. All he is doing is killing people’s families. It is devastating the country more when all Iraq and Afghanistan want to do is shoot each other.  Why should we be a part of that? Why should people be losing their lives for countries that do not care about each other?

During a Channel One broadcast they stated that Bin Laden is planning more attacks unless the country of Iraq and Pakistan is split up. If that is all it takes for this war to stop then why not go ahead and split it?  Give each of them their own land.  That way all of the problems will be solved.  Bin Laden is taking credit for the bombing of a plane that went bad on Christmas. How can you not want to finish this and just do what he wants? It isn’t a sign of weakness, it is a sign that you care about your people and you are tired of seeing them die for nothing.

The newest coming out is a plan to make our economy cleaner and less dependent on other countries for our supplies. It sounds good, but the cost is a big problem. There will be about $200 billion put into this. We do not have that much money to put into something if we do not know if it will even work. It is said that it will create 300,000 jobs, but do we know for sure that it will really create that many? There is no way to tell for sure if it will happen.

The only thing that the cabinet has really done is pass the health care reform. It hasn’t even been completely passed yet. It has only been passed by the senate. His first year he really hasn’t got anything done for us but waste time.

In my opinion, I don’t think that the Obama administration is doing all it could be doing. There is more that could be going on that is not.  It is disappointing because I had such high hopes for him and thought that he could turn our country around. But in the end, my hopes got shot down because nothing is happening like he said it would.
