Summertime is nearly here and students are preparing for this exciting time of freedom from school. While some people already have their summer booked, others look forward to a relaxing time with friends.

Some students have exciting events they will be attending. Jordan Baldwin, sophomore, will be going all over the nation to play in basketball tournaments and visit colleges. She also looks forward to spending time with friends, playing her guitar and playing basketball. However, she said she’s not excited about her friends leaving and going to college.

Hayden Soph, junior, also has a full summer. During the first week of June he will be attending Lions Band Camp, which he is looking forward to. He is also looking forward to golfing, fishing and a family reunion at the Lake of the Ozarks. Though excited about being a senior, he is not looking forward to Mr. Kornhaus’s class.

Many students plan on hanging out with friends. Hope Armstrong, junior, plans to do that as well as working and playing tennis and basketball.

Megan Dickey, junior, is planning on working at McDonalds to earn some extra cash.

“I’m going to a camp to finish my Writing Instruction Training and I’m going to try to find a job. I also need to clean and organize,” junior Jonah Bienhoff said.

Though everyone has different plans, we wish them the best and hope to see them back next fall.
