Pep Band

As basketball season rolls around, the pep band also makes an appearance. The band occupies a section of the bleachers and plays songs during any breaks of playing. The songs they play include the fight song, Zoot Suit Riot, the Final Countdown and many more.
The band enjoys playing simply because they get to play fun songs, as well as getting into the game for free. But the band also peps up the rest of the gym.
“I think the bands keeps people engaged in the game even when there is nothing going on on the court,” Kristi Miller, math teacher, said. Keeping the game exciting is one purpose for the band.
The students also appreciate the Pep Band. “They pump up the student section and help show more school spirit,” Jordan Eckman, senior, said.
Overall, the pep band is an exciting element in the basketball games that many people enjoy.
