Michelle Obama Controversy: “The Right to Bare Thighs”

First Lady Michelle Obama has created a stir in the media. Photographs of Michelle Obama, descending the steps of Air Force One wearing none other than a pair of shorts, have spread through the news. Some are saying that Mrs. Obama, while on her way to the Grand Canyon with her family, may have been revealing too much skin for her status as the First Lady.
Zach George, Junior, believes that it isn’t as big as a deal as everyone seems to be making.
“It shows how things that happen in high school still matter to people when it should not. You should be judged on your character and personality, not by what you wear and the other material things in life.”
Daisy Duarte, Junior, also sees the same side but can also see wear the reporters are coming from.
“Some people may think her status as the First Lady should make her obligated to wear dressier attire, even if it is on vacation.”
It goes to show that the tiny things that bug us in high school can still make a difference in the real world, even when you are the First Lady.
