“Growing up as twins was always fun because you always had someone to play games with or joke around with. As seniors it’s different; we’re more mature and grown up now,” senior Lindsay Messenger said.
All seniors are beginning to wonder what it will be like in May, to graduate and leave all their classmates. It may be more difficult for some than others. Senior twins, Eric and Lindsay Messenger are beginning to think back on the memories of growing up, as well as what it will be like to move away from each other for the first time next year.
“If you need help with a class there is a distinct possibility that your twin will know it,” Eric said. “That possibility won’t be there next year.”
Being twins has always had its ups and downs for these two.
“He gets really annoying sometimes and can be mean,” Lindsay said.
All joking aside, they miss being young together.
“Well we could play football when we were little, but not anymore,” Eric said. “I used to wish I had a twin brother, so I could punch them.”
They both have different and mixed feelings about next year.
“The thing I’m most worried about in the future is not having him there for college. It’s going to be hard going to completely different places. But even far away, I know if either of us needed anything, we’d be there to help the other one out, no questions asked,” Lindsay said.
Eric said having a twin really isn’t that much different than having a brother or sister only you’re the same age. Lindsay agrees.
“I like having a twin because there’s always someone to talk to who will be there for me,” she said.
