REVIEWING: The Proposal

Just released in DVD, “The Proposal” is a movie that many have already enjoyed. With its wacky characters, unique plot and hilarious situations, “The Proposal” is sure to be a favorite.
In the story, Margaret, played by Sandra Bullock, is an editor at Colden Books. However, she is a “powerhouse” and other employees fear her and give her names such as the “witch.” Andrew, played by Ryan Reynolds, is Margaret’s assistant whose desire is to also be an editor.
One day, Margaret is called to her boss’s office. Margaret is a native Canadian and applied for a Visa, but it was denied, thus being forced to go back to Canada; to prevent this she insists that she is engaged to Andrew. They end up taking a trip to Alaska, where the remainder of the story unfolds. To see the rest, make a trip to Red Box.
Overall, I would give the film five stars. It was extremely funny, making the viewer laugh consistently. While most guys may fear it to be a typical “chick flick,” I would not classify this movie as one. This is just a major comedy with a sprinkle of romance.
If you are not sure about it, you might as well watch it. There is no harm in that and you won’t be disappointed!
Students Opinions
“I think it was really hilarious and that even where you could notice there were mistakes, I think it made it better. Overall I just think it was a really good movie.” Danon Taylor, sophomore.
“I thought it was really good. It was funny, and it was cute. And I actually didn’t know who the guy was going to end up with till the end. I was genuinely befuddled.” Jaime Birzer, sophomore.
